Actor Imran Khan, in his challenge to a Leave India Notice, has told the court that he went near Mumbai's August Kranti Maidan on October 10 only "being curious about what was happening on the ground as far as student protesters were concerned".
When police told him the area was restricted, his "curiosity ended", and he complied with the directions "and proceeded towards his parked vehicle", reads his writ petition in the Bombay High Court against the notice directing him to leave the country by October 28.
It argued that Khan, an American citizen, was detained only after media reporters surrounded him and there was commotion.

I think what is actually needed is for Indian people to actually give a damn about their cities and fellow citizens.
Anybody using the "I pay taxes, I shouldn't have to do anything" excuse should go live in another country. India isn't developed, it's developing, so it needs patriots, not parasites. If this triggers you, it means you're part of the problem.
If you're not happy with the footpath (or a pothole, or anything else which is broken), fix it, or call someone to fix it, and don't give up until it's fixed. Be relentless. Be vocal. Be creative. Make it your mission to get that one thing fixed. Look at what Virendra (@Virendra0698) did by just calling the right people and being respectful (but also persistent). He and Arun Pai (@arunpaiblrwalks) along with the help of GBA and some wonderful volunteers turned an unofficial garbage dump into a pristine, beautiful footpath through sheer force of will.

also “civic sense” is a common nonsense cop out for govt incompetence ofc civic sense is imp but saying it is reason why we have it so bad is purely stupid no society is held up purely due to goodness of citizens they are clean and beautiful due to effective governance…
… adequate staffing capacity and funding every city on earth has people polluting thowing garbage etc what differs is some cities have a functional local govt that will clean all that on a daily basis and some will not and blame civic sense

GoI’s alone budget is 40lakh cr rs people cant even count the number of 0s in it and yet such a huge amount of money thrown at country still we are in such a state and govt needs our halp to fix
i predict in maybe 3-4months the apps produced by the labs will become noticeably better/faster/better ux etc conquering the tastecel frontier
