There is extensive damage to buildings in Gaza. Not total, but extensive. Why? Because Hamas took over Gaza in 2005 and spent the next 20 years building tunnels underneath Gaza - using them as terror bases from which to initiate war and hold masses of hostages in them - which they did on October 7, 2023. The only way Israel could fight and beat Hamas was to attack these terror bases. No country attacked in the savage way that Hamas attacked Israel (mass-murders, rapes, torture, kidnapping and beheading) would have done anything less. That’s why Gaza looks like it does. War is hell - but it is patently NOT a genocide or anything close to that. 97% of the population were not killed and a large number of those killed were terrorists. Civilians who sadly died during the war were deliberately used by Hamas as human shields. [By contrast, 67% of Jews were murdered in the Holocaust - that is *actual* genocide.] There is a mass propaganda machine spewing out misinformation - aimed at demonizing the world’s only Jewish country. But a lie told a million times is still a lie. Don’t fall for it.
