College Algebra continued collecting data, but this activity involved putting cubes together. Speedy squares had them building squares with various side lengths. They then created a quadratic model to predict how long it would take to build a 26x26 square.

College Algebra collected data to create linear models. The first day they measured their bites of Laffy Taffy or Twizzlers. The second day they read Tongue Twisters. They timed 1 person reading it, then 2, then 3 and finally 4. They made a prediction for the whole class to read.

Algebra students presented their "Math Magic" projects this week. They had to find a number trick to do with the class, then explain the algebra behind why it always works. The students did a great job presenting to the class and explaining the algebra!

The Geometry students wrote "If - Then" books to finish up learning about conditionals. This week they read them to students in Kindergarten. 2nd , 3rd and 4th grade.

Geometry Chapter 1 Projects were due today. A lot of creativity for those that chose the string art option.

Technical Math practiced percent problems and their Tumbling Bricks (Jenga) skills today. Each color represented a different type of question their team had to answer. A little fun with their practice.

Mrs. Bulin's Geometry classes got to fly their kites on Tuesday. The kites are tetrahedrons made from straws and tissue paper. Every year the students are surprised that they actually fly! Fun project to end the school year.
