Ibos normally have stories of how other ethnicities(especially the Yorubas) took care of and sacrificed for them.
Other ethnicities don't have.
Of course, I go before others.
Tai Solarin paid Nzeogwu's mother stipends till he left this world. He also took in Nzeogwu's brother and sister and trained them for free.
Until his demise, the great Nigerian activist, Tai Solarin, never told anyone that he took care of Major Chukwuma Nzeogwu's mother, brother and sister.
It was Nzeogwu's mother, Madam Elizabeth, who made the revelation in an interview on December 27, 2001. That's seven years after Tai Solarin's demise.
Madam Elizabeth told Daily Trust that she called Tai her son.
"Oh my son. He was very good to my children. After the war, he came and took two of my children, Philomena and Peter, and put them in his school. He trained the two of them. When he was alive, he opened an account for me in Asaba. I was withdrawing money regularly from the account until he died."
Nzeogwu's sister, Theresa, also confirmed Tai Solarin's role in their lives saying Peter, who was the last child of the family, was already a Professor at the University of Missouri, United States of America at the time of the interview.
"Tai Solarin was a friend of Chukwuma. They became friends after the 1966 coup. So, after the wãr, he came to Okpanam and took Philomena and Peter and trained them at his school, Mayflower, at Ikenne (Ogun State).
"When Tai Solarin was alive, he used to visit us regularly. He opened a bank account for mama in Asaba. He was paying money into the account until he died.
"He did not believe in God but we have not seen a believer in God that one can compare with him."

As the only man in a house full of sisters, the foundation of commanding genuine respect is self-respect and strong personal discipline.
You must be willing to decline whatever they bring home from their outings or dates.

It's not a pandemic. We can get laid without commitment, cook better than most women or just use ubereats, clean our own homes or higher a helper and come back to peace and quiet. What exactly is a wife going to add?

The first republic was actually insane. NCNC and NPC got power and their first port of call was dividing the western region which was more homogenous than both the North and East. Hilarious, these were insane human beings. 🤣

This is one of the reasons I don't like going to Facebook.
See Tunde's death announced by his Facebook account like an hour ago, I didn't know when I screamed.
He was one of the rocks of the Physics and Engineering Physics Student Association (PEPSA) of Obafemi Awolowo University around the turn of the century.
He was a near permanent feature at the association secretariat when we became the first association to have internet connection on campus, and when I became the Computer Room coordinator, we became close.
Tunde had insights on human behaviour, interactions, and sociology for days, combined with enthusiastic computer technology interests. I was drawn to him because he reminded me of another Mr Adeoye, a neighbour of mine back in Abẹ́òkúta who was a lecturer at MAPOLY.
Then, if the computer room key wasn't with me, it was with him. He functioned more in the office than I did, because of his enthusiasm.
I can only pray for his soul and wish his family fortitude.
Rest in Peace Babatunde Wasiu Adeoye.
"I see anyone supporting Tinubu as insane or a bigot"
Those are the words of a man here 😂😂😂. The man thinks he is a detrabilised or sane for supporting some not from his tribe. However, he does not realise that he is just being stupid.
Nothing bad in supporting whosoever but don't shit on your tribe cuz of political support. Your caucus members don dey lump you together with the bigots in your tribe now
I notice that a poor Yoruba boy in the slums of Agege can be extra confident and pompous because his uncle or brother is rich.
They don't care whether they themselves are in penury. Same with most Hausas. Some even go as far as telling you that their poverty is "the will of God."
The average Igbo man that has a rich relative has long accepted that he himself is poor, and works towards self-actualisation.
This is the microcosm of Nigeria's bleak political atmosphere. The South West and North perceive Ndigbo support of Peter Obi as support of "my brother." Because that's how they approach "support."
This is, in essence, a con of extreme communalism -- the sheep doesn't care for its own destruction as long as it can see other sheep with it at the butcher's.

The reality is that most of them aren’t getting this treatment. The trick is to make you believe most of them are so you get pressured into doing it
Might be cooked, I swear man, these figures I’m hearing you all give girls in relationships I can’t do it. The girl told me her bf sent her 100k out of the 130k she asked for to get a wig.
Not sending anybody even 30k. Can’t do this relationship nonsense where I’ll be providing for an adult that has able hands and leg to work, unless I I give you 100k today you give me like 70k next week or some other time.
