#OTD Kamenev, backed by Zinoviev, leaks the Bolsheviks’ plans in an article in Novaya Zhizn (New Life – Maxim Gorky’s paper). Kamenev writes that he and Zinoviev oppose an armed insurrection. It is a blatant attempt at sabotage and a complete break of party discipline. The Petrograd Garrisons conference resolves to obey only defence committee orders.

Trotsky’s comparison to Thermidor was always funny, because Thermidor was the Left and Right of the National Convention teaming up against the Centre, when Stalinism was the victory of the Centre due to the inability of the Right and Left to collaborate.

People like this are just unable to see reason as they are going to be in the rotting Labour Party until they die, no matter how it develops. The Labour Party, other than from 2015-19, has been gutted out since the late 1980s. Just like all social democratic parties have!

Even from 2015-19, under Corbyn, you saw the manifestation of that transformation. Such as the fact of the PLP only about 40 of them even supported Corbyn and the rest actively sabotaged him daily for 4 years. Labour isn’t a party for labourers. It’s a party for big business
