Unsurprisingly the data or research on the impact of CI are virtually non-existent. The medical model needs to be replaced with social model and also eradicate audism for good.
Although not in BSL but in captions, it is a great way to explain the true meaning of deaf perspectives.

Would it be fair to say that BSL registered translators appear to be substituted by BSL registered interpreters hired by companies of all size? If so why? Is it down to cost or availability? Your views would be greatly appreciated #translator #interpreter #BSL

Data on deaf related issues are woefully inadequate at all levels of government and rather deliberate too. The @BDA_Deaf's own statistics are out of date and not even externally audited as reliable. Data is a crucial piece of tool in creating an effective case / study. Good luck.

From our experience - it tends to be both hearing and deaf led organisations. There is a need for a specific contract monitoring role to measure performance and ensure compliance and that data can be used against agencies, especially when they apply for a contract renewal.

What a formidable woman who stood up to have a BSL interpreter by her side at all announcements! Real respect to her. Thanks for all you have done for BSL Access. @NicolaSturgeon #Spoiltforchoice here with 2 interpreters @BBCNews at one.
