I've been digging deep and hunting down overlooked and obscure albums from the 80s as a follow up to my recent 70s dig. If you're into psych rock, post punk, early electronica #music and genre bending 80s indie, have a read... slackershack.wordpress.com/2…

Over the past couple of months I've been slowly compiling a playlist of the best ever cover versions. And the more I uncover the deeper I dive. What are your favourite covers? The more obscure the better!

Despite them making music for a few years I'm new to Welsh four-piece @worldcubworld but they're without doubt one of my favourite finds of the last few months #NewMusic slackershack.wordpress.com/2…

I'm going to do a Top 5 blog on songs based on historical events. I'll share the list I've got so far below. I feel like I'm missing loads of good uns, but my brain's not working very well. Does anyone have a favourite they'd like to share with me?

I'm currently listening to a preview of The Lemon Twigs next album (out May 3rd) and it's absolutely stunning. I'll be amazed if it isn't all over all the end of year lists come December (and it's only February).

(T)he(y) was a great band and it’s a pity the album didn’t get made. My favourite song was (Shake off Your) Devil Dust youtu.be/9shLISU2Btk?si=-4kh…

I didn’t die, I left seeds,
And I come back
Every now and again
When it rains,
And look up.
Yesterday I was a dog bark,
Tomorrow I’ll be a feather,
A shadow caught in traffic,
A gesture in the dark,
Some words that lost their way
And never made it home...

Here are two other (slightly under the radar) candidates for #5albums23 - 808 and Greatest Hits' 'Our Lord In Exile' (one for fans of Ty Segall, King Gizzard, and Morgan Delt) and The Drin's 'Today My Friend You Drunk the Venom (think Liars meets Clinic) #NewMusic

If you're still not familiar with the psych-pop magic of @Blokeacolazero now's the time to change that. His forthcoming double album 'Quasars and Fluff' is an absolute stunner! #newmusic slackershack.wordpress.com/2…
