People are typically bridges to the lessons we need to learn and places we need to get to. Be careful the things dishonour, resentment and mediocrity can rob you off getting from the people God sends your path.

What if I told you there’s a university in Russia where students from over 160 countries come together to study, research and build their futures? 🌍🇷🇺 And guess what? I got to experience it firsthand! DAY 2 OF MY RUSSIA EXPEDITION: RUDN UNIVERSITY, MOSCOW! Founded in 1960, RUDN University carries a remarkable history. In 1961, it was named after Patrice Lumumba, a prominent figure in Africa’s struggle for independence. Imagine that connection between Africa and a university thousands of kilometres away! But the history wasn’t even my favourite part. As a Chemistry graduate from the University of Ilorin, I was particularly excited to explore the university’s academic environment. From Medicine to Agricultural Engineering, we learned about research in biotechnology, molecular analysis, smart agriculture and sustainable ecosystems. One presentation that caught my attention highlighted how technology is being applied to agriculture, from monitoring land resources to developing solutions for more sustainable cities. And just when I thought the day couldn’t get more interesting, we also visited a radio studio called ‘Mic Live’🎙️. From science and research to microphones and broadcasting, I was getting a glimpse of two worlds I am genuinely passionate about. What stayed with me most was the idea of an institution bringing people from different countries and academic backgrounds together through education. I came to Russia for an international journalism competition, but every stop is opening my eyes to possibilities far beyond the competition itself. From UNILORIN to RUDN, I am learning that education can take you places you never imagined. ❤️ If you had the opportunity to study abroad, what course would you choose? #NewDayEducation26 #UNILORIN #RUDN #RussiaDiaries #ViralNews @UnilorinNGR @Russia @vanguardngrnews @PulseNigeria247

The world does not need a billion suns. It needs stars and moons. Some people are the mountains, some the seas. Some stand as rivers, others trees. Your greatness is waiting for you to discover how it shines in the world and there's magic in knowing there's so much you can be.
How I feel when I see people my age do great things while I’m still stuck trying to figure out what the hell is going on in my life. xitter.cf/whotjj/status/21078630…

Stop trying to get to zero problems, that place doesn't exist. Instead, work on earning your way into better problems. Problems that are yours, on purpose, in service of something you actually want.
The actual arc of a well-lived life isn’t a march toward “problem-free.” It’s a slow, deliberate migration from imposed problems to selected ones. From “this happened to me” to “ I signed up for this.”

A good life is a life where the problems are increasingly self-chosen.

It has become clear to me that aging itself does not bring wisdom. It often brings regression to childishness, dependency & bitterness over lost opportunities. Only those who are still intellectually, emotionally, spiritually growing inherit the richness of aging.~James Hollis

There will come a moment when you'll realize that you're insignificant to someone you wanted to mean a lot to, and it's very important that you understand that it's not your fault.

Confidence is important, but if it is not based on a realistic appraisal of who you are, it is mere grandiosity and smugness.

Sometimes you meet someone and think, maybe I can give them the kind of love they've always been missing. You show up, you're patient, you communicate, and you give them every reason to believe you're not there to hurt them. Then you realise the problem was never that nobody loved them properly, it was that they had learned to treat anything good like a threat. It's a strange lesson, but sometimes giving someone what they always wanted is how you discover why they could never keep it.

Seyi Makinde was an 8-year mistake in Oyo State. Bimbo Adekambi is a disaster, not even an option. I present to you a greater Oyo State with BSA. Rescue Mission. #Oyo2027 #Alisoji #GreaterOyo #BSA #OyoState

When I saw this post, my first thought was that maybe we really do overcomplicate life. Someone stays in the same town, marries the same person he has known for years, keeps the same job, raises a family, has a dog, a garden, sees his friends, and lives what looks like a very ordinary life. Then there is the friend who moved around, travelled the world, built businesses, took risks and lived a very different kind of life. It is easy for the second person to look at the first and think, maybe this is what I should have done. But I also think the reverse is probably true. The person who stayed in his hometown may sometimes look at his friend and think about all the places he has seen, the people he has met, the risks he has taken and the different experiences he has had. We tend to know the difficult parts of our own lives very well. We know the boredom, the stress, the compromises and the things we gave up. With other people, we often see the parts that look attractive from where we are standing. Someone who has travelled a lot may want stability. Someone who has stayed in one place may want movement. Someone with a very busy life may dream of quiet. Someone with too much quiet may be desperate for something new. I personally do not think happiness is geographically defined. I also do not agree there is one correct way to live. Some people are happiest in the town where they grew up. Some people need to leave. Some want to build a life across different places. Some want a bit of both. What probably matters is enjoying the moment, being genuinely kind to ourselves and to other people, spending time with the people we love, and doing work that feels meaningful to us. That can happen in your hometown or thousands of miles away. It can happen in a very ordinary life or in one that looks adventurous from the outside. Most lives become ordinary eventually anyway. The important thing is whether the life you are living still feels meaningful to you.
My mate back in England married his first ever girlfriend. They met at school. Never left our hometown. He still works at British Gas, the same company he joined at 21. Heads down the pub every Friday. They've got two kids, a garden, a dog. She still looks at him like he's the only man in the room. He's never read Atomic Habits. Never "worked on himself." Never bothered to optimize his supplement stack. I moved to four countries, built a business, reinvented my entire life. I wouldn't change any of it. But when he sends a photo of his family eating Sunday roast together, I think maybe we're all overcomplicating this.

Leadership is not proven by speeches, slogans or promises. It is proven by results and Oyo State is the evidence. Under Seyi Makinde, Oyo has witnessed visible investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security and economic development, alongside improved state revenue and a stronger business environment. These are not campaign theories; they are outcomes that can be seen, measured and independently verified. That is why I have no hesitation in backing Seyi Makinde’s capacity to lead beyond Oyo. If he can demonstrate this level of governance at the state level, I believe Nigeria deserves to see what he can do at the national level. I strongly align with the vision to #ResetNigeria.

If you like, keep listening to losers on Twitter feeding you flowery nonsense that you’re “doing enough.” Don’t push yourself. Stay comfortable. Just don’t act surprised when the gap between you and your peers gets wider.
