We're so grateful for this experience of prayer, reflection, and celebration in community. For all who traveled to Indy this past week, we pray that the deep love of Christ in the Eucharist ignites within you a fire for justice and for peace just as it did for Dorothy.

Today is the 45th anniversary of Dorothy Day’s death. An American Catholic, Servant of God Dorothy Day is known for co-founding the Catholic Worker Movement and for her care for the poor and most vulnerable. In his speech to Congress in 2015, Pope Francis identified Day as one of four Americans he particularly admired due to “her passion for justice and for the cause of the oppressed” which was “inspired by the Gospel, her faith, and the example of the saints.” In light of Pope Leo XIV’s call for love of the poor in Dilexi Te, let us follow in Dorothy Day’s example.

We just got back from the #nationaleucharisticcongress in Indianapolis-- what an amazing trip! Some highlights:
-- Martha Hennessy spoke at a Morning Impact Session, reflecting on excerpts from Dorothy’s speech given at the 41st International Eucharistic Congress in '76

-- Finally, we had fun passing out prayer cards, art, and newspapers outside the stadium prior to the final keynote on Saturday night, only to later hear @BishopBarron cite Dorothy as an exemplar of heroic sanctity. Check out his full speech here:
