Saddened to hear of the passing of Gene Hackman. Sylvia and I were honored to work alongside him, Willem Dafoe, Frances McDormand, & R. Lee Erney in the film Mississippi Burning. I remember him as humble. We have some great stories about our short time with him. RIP Gene!

The aurora borealis near Fairbanks, Alaska. Sylvia and I ventured out in the below zero temps about 10pm, retreating to the car frequently to stay out of the cold and wind. We were rewarded about midnight when the aurora seemed to drop down from the sky.
GCU cruised to a 75-57 home victory against Utah Valley that tied the teams for first place. The women's team also won last night to earn their 19th straight win.
