Off to Chester Cathedral this evening for the Northern Design Awards.
Chuffed to be a double finalist with interior designs for Finkle Hill Dental and Bradford City of Culture 2025 team offices.
🤞🏽
Bloody hell.
9 years ago today I set up assembly Twitter as an idea for a place to make things and meet people that I wanted to make happen…

Having developed upper floors of a heritage building with @assemblybd I believe one key challenge to overcome is access.
Finding sufficient ground floor space to install a lift, and achieve a level threshold into the building is a massive issue.
We haven’t solved it yet.

Busy day today with my @PPP_BD hat on showing people around the first building we are negotiating and fundraising for just now.
Some really critical things happening over the next couple of weeks, it’s a really exciting project to be part of.
Two minutes of fame on @BBCLeeds this morning, sharing my thoughts on Bradford city centre transformation works which start today.
I could have talked much longer but key take aways were…
I’m all for a more walkable, green, liveable city centre…
But having lived through the disruption of North Parade public realm works, communication and co-design is key.
Would have loved to have more time to talk about @PPP_BD and @assemblybd and wider city plans such as City Village, @bradford2025 Darley Street markets@Bradford_Live
And thoughts on how to address some of the challenges of our city such as anti-social behaviour, access, cars parking on footpaths and empty shops.
Perhaps we need to host another debate at @assemblybd
What do you think @BradfordCivic ?
Can’t beat that feeling of seeing designs you’ve worked on looking busy and being enjoyed.
To be honest, the glorious weather helps too.
All hands on deck @theboathouseinn today, getting ready to re-open after an extensive refurb.
It’s been a pleasure to design a pub on my doorstep, looking forward to seeing it back open and busy for the Dragon Boat Race this weekend.
