Angela Rayner appointed five individuals with troubling links to Islamist organisations โ including the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND โ to a Working Group tasked with drafting the Islamophobia definition.
The Free Speech Union repeatedly warned that this would have a chilling effect on free speech and be weaponised against those who criticise, debate or mock Islam, its history and its practices.
We have been proved right time and again.
It has now emerged that Angela Raynerโs Communities Department deleted all responses to the Working Groupโs consultation โ material fundamental to drafting what has become, in effect, Britainโs Islamic blasphemy law.
Why delete all the evidence, contrary to Government data policy?
The public deserves answers.

Probably article 5. No reason needs to be given for the arrest and if he refuses to answer questions he is in breach of the law.

I am calling on various parts of the establishment to now ease off on their rhetoric about Restore Britain.
The Telegraph, Labour MPs, Farage, the Daily Mail, Lib Dems, the Guardian. Whoever.
It is putting our people at risk - directly leading to one being hospitalised for burns today, and endangering others.
Challenge our ideas, criticise our policies, debate us on our platform.
But to keep referring to our party as somehow 'nazi' or a whole other string of insults is evidently riling up these wild mobs.
Pushing for mass deportations is mainstream politics, backed by millions and millions of Brits. That is NOT 'nazism'.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, should be physically attacked in the street for peacefully campaigning.
