Great to be at @HartBrosSeeds Spring Field Day today to showcase new APH wheat IG-Bullseye. A great day and turnout as always 👏🏻
An exciting new release, from our breeding program focussed on NSW and VIC, with extra focus on wheat stripe rust resistance!
Introducing IG-Bullseye 🎯
A new mid-slow maturing APH wheat for southern NSW, combining excellent yield potential with an outstanding disease package. With strong performance emerging from NVT and InterGrain trials across, IG-Bullseye is shaping as a promising option for 2027 sowing programs. More here - bit.ly/new-APH-wheat-Bullsey…

Trip with my kids to see @InterGrain1 wheat trials. Here they are, promoting wheat variety Dale, near Mt Barker WA. I love these guys' confidence! Always learning! #plantbreeding
BNI (biological nitrification inhibition) trial at Lockhart NSW. Fantastic trial, part of our network exploring the benefits of this very exciting trait. Bring on @InterGrain1 adapted lines! @CIMMYT #BiologicalNitrificationInhibition #WheatGenetics #Plantbreeding

Dale wheat looking great at South Stirling NVT. This mid maturing AH wheat is perfect for this high disease pressure environment with its excellent powdery mildew resistance (MRMS in WA).
VIC and Southern NSW @InterGrain1 wheat breeding trials looking fantastic this year. My new babies are doing great, and I'm loving the look of Dale!
Not something I typically expect to see in a @InterGrain1 trial in Birchip VIC this time of the year!

Northern WA Territory Manager Richie Marsland checking out an awesome looking crop of Dale wheat at Chapman Valley. This is a paddock scale demo, sown dry on the 9th of June and will be analysed by @Laconik_FT with the aim to get more farm scale data to complement 7 years worth of trial data for Dale. InterGrain and @Laconik_FT are bridging the gap from trial plot to paddock. Last week, @G_ctrain and @JackLaconik01 were onsite to help seed wheat trials in Goomalling and Toodyay, comparing paddock-scale performance with current varieties. Variety trials are underway across Australia—we're looking forward to seeing the results!
Seed prep underway at @InterGrain1. Wheat breeding team legends Dr Calum Watt and Laurence Cross forced to smile by their slightly evil boss.

@DavidTabah, Senior Wheat Breeder at InterGrain, had an opportunity at last week's @GrainGrowersLtd Grain Sustainability Forum in Sydney to present regarding BNI wheat, a key trait that InterGrain's innovative wheat breeding program is researching and developing in partnership with @jircas_direct, @CIMMYT and the @novonordiskfond. BNI wheat makes nitrogen more available to the crop by reducing losses to the environment, enabling more efficient use of applied and stored nutrition. In turn, this offers potential for Australian farmers to increase yield and grain protein per nitrogen fertiliser unit available to the wheat plant.
