Q: How are vascular dementia & AF connected?
A: AF leads to a higher risk of blood clots which can cause a stroke if they occur in the brain. AF patients may develop cognitive decline (trouble remembering, concentrating or making every-day decisions) that can lead to dementia.
Great to be watching @CRN_WMid Dr Harj Gill present on the important role that GPs and primary care teams play in supporting commercial research trials, including a video recorded by the team at Windrush Practice @nickpbthomas @NIHRcommunity #GPResearch @chrisimray @GastroMJB
