Love this annual tradition! The Closest to the Pin Contest was held yesterday. Congrats to our Winners! ⛳️🎯
Ryan Avery won Closest to the Pin with a shot to 1’ 7”! Mike Triolo took 2nd and won the Money Ball!
Awesome illustration of the value of fans! Much of successful mgt. depends on above and below ground growing environments. Fans are essential in extreme weather and where tree work cannot be accomplished or isn't sufficient. Fix the soils and run the fans 24/7 in extreme weather!
We were showing new staff members the benefit that fans can provide during these “dog days of summer.” This is a FLIR video I took a few seasons ago. You can see the surface temperature drop as the fan blows air across the surface. Without the fan, the surface temperature was well over 100 degrees. #fairview #summer #golf #golfcoursemaintenance #fans #summergolf #greenwich
I remember it like it was yesterday... 2 weeks of fun-filled sleep deprivation! But a lot of great comraderi and a great champion! Made a lot of friends that week, not the least of which was a younger Bob Searle!

Absolutely awesome and so well deserved! Pretty sure you need another wall for awards though. Congratulations and well done!
Congratulations to @jim_pav on receiving the Environmental Leaders in Golf Award presented by @SyngentaTurf and @GolfDigest
So we'll deserved, congratulations!
A bit nervous when you are called before the Board but when retiring not so much. What a surprise when Prez @lentoenjes announced that @glenechocc was giving me an #HonoraryMembership Dang waterworks. Could barely get out my thanks/appreciation to them and the members! Grateful!

Guess who’s back in the hospital again? 🤷♂️🤷♂️…..I’m scheduled for more surgery tomorrow morning to repair some nerve damage going back to the spinal fusion operations on 11/11 & 11/29. They say the third time is a charm. More prayers please. Thank you❤️

Fun little tradition I have with anyone making a hole-in-one on the course. They get the actual flag off the green and a handwritten card put in their locker. It goes a long way. #fairview #holeinone #memento

If this four minutes doesn’t make you love Mondays I can’t help you.
Nick Bienz works at Golf Galaxy, has never played any pga tour sanctioned event, he is so nervous he’s pounding beers. Just shot 65.
Please take the time to watch this.

Summer internships are in full swing, and we had the pleasure of hosting a few @PratumCoop interns here at @MtnView_Seeds this week! Outside of their designated responsibilities, part of their program includes seeing all aspects of @PratumCoop, from research to production and sales!
While they were with us, they toured our facilities, engaged with our team, and gained an understanding of how we operate day to day. Their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm sparked great conversations, and we’re excited to see where their journeys take them!

Grass seed update, straight from the 👨🌾
MVS Crop Update May 2024:
Willamette Valley, OR:
Grass seed crops are doing well with favorable conditions. Some impact on Fine Fescue from last year's dry spring on first year stands. Bentgrass rebounded from tough conditions in 2023. Perennial ryegrass and Tall Fescue acres were reduced. Average yields are expected, weather permitting.
Columbia Basin: Despite reduced grass seed acres, fields are progressing well.
Minnesota: Perennial ryegrass is recovering better than expected from a harsh winter, however, with 20% acreage loss, seed yields remain uncertain.
Canada: Manitoba crops are fairing well. Alberta faces drought threats that may impact creeping red fescue availability. Tall fescue and perennial ryegrass acreage remain stable.
