Vivek Ramaswamy seeks to take political advantage of the fact that his opponent was raped as a child. But to his credit, unlike many other Republican politicians, he was not personally the rapist in question.

I have a new piece out on the AI crisis. Yes, AI companies are attempting regulatory capture, and yes there will likelt be a financial crash due to overinvestment. But it is also a revolutionary technology that carries great risks and great potential rewards...

Since people here are convinced that 1, watery both sides pablum and 2, running against your own party are effective persuasion strategies, a reminder that yes, it is in fact possible to make the case for why Dems are in fact good.
Joe Rogan: Why are you a Democrat? .@JamesTalarico: My mother met my birth father, who had a drinking problem that sometimes led to being violent. My mom decided right then and there that she was leaving. She found a little apartment in East Austin and worked double duty at a hotel to provide for us. She saw Texas Democrats like Ann Richards, people who fought for the little guy. That was the classic Democratic Party. I asked my mom what we were, and she was like, ‘We're Democrats, because Democrats fight for the people.’ Our historical legacy is the party that fights for the little guy. That's why I'm a Democrat.

AOC: p(bubble) over p(doom). It's the love child of Ed Zitron and Elizabeth Warren.
New email from @AOC to her list with some of her most expansive comments yet on AI: "Silicon Valley billionaires want us to believe that AI robots will destroy humanity. But the biggest threat to humanity are the tech oligarchs themselves."

I talked with Joan Esposito this week about Ken Martin, the DNC, and what we need to do to win the long term war against fascism and change the media landscape. youtu.be/btm6X-aGoC0?is=N8Ui…

Don't look now, but the DNC is doing truly good things: 1) strong investments in local organizing that is paying dividends in elections; 2) setting a diverse primary calendar to truly battle test our nominees; 3) and pushing back on bad establishment ideas.

Meeting with Johnson would be defensible on the grounds of doing "secret congress" stuff. Meeting Trump would be about hard tacks government funding negotiations. Meeting Kushner can only be a soft power or corruption play. Both are utterly indefensible.
This is such bizarre reasoning - Trump is the one deciding to do the horrifying things that hurt all Americans and basically the world. Obviously he and Kushner are both corrupt but Trump is worse, on the monster scale, than Kushner. Why is it cool cool with you to meet with Trump? Not a peep, just celebration for the Mayor of NY when he does it. Even though ICE raids have gone up in nyc since.

Over the past 19 months, we’ve increased the DNC’s investments to our state parties so they can build the infrastructure necessary to win. It’s paying off.

There is no alt scene in any blue city weirder, cultier or more psychologically messed up than what goes down in far right evangelical spaces. These people are off the charts weird. That goes for their scotus justices, too.

You're welcome, and thank you for the support :-)
I’m delighted the DNC decided against the proposal that would have effectively banned Ranked Choice Voting in the 2028 presidential election. Thank you DNC Members for leaving that choice to the people and party leaders in the states and protecting the popular innovations that make ours a party of strong democracy. Great work in Austin!

Imagine if Obama, etc. Are there any Republicans left with a shred of conscience or patriotism?

Why is @zeteo_news running a misleading article. Love David but being an officer is a primary neutral job. He chose to play in primaries over his DNC role. That’s an ok thing too. But attacking the DNC over it is cheap and unserious and click revenue.
"The Dem Establishment Kicked Me Out. Now They're Losing" @davidhogg111, the former DNC vice chair, writes for Zeteo that the victories of El-Sayed and other progressives show Democrats didn't lose young voters – they just needed candidates to vote for. zeteo.com/p/the-dem-establis…

Folks. @AbdulElSayed needs Haley voters to win. Keep your snark to your group chats. Hold the bravado and victory laps until December. Build the campaign that welcomes to build a winning margin.

AIPAC is a GOP org. They are fine if women in America lose more rights.
NEWS — AIPAC is considering a major campaign, expected to be in the tens of millions, to boost Mike Rogers over Abdul El-Sayed, sources tell me and @jennymedina. AIPAC has told allies of the plan. We could just be getting started in Michigan.

Then perhaps mainstream dems should be offering European policies that occur under capitalism, and there would be no opportunity for hardliners to play pied piper.
There’s not just a split from the part of the party that needs to win elections, there’s also a whole lot of progressives who like DSA bc they like European policies that occur under capitalism and don’t realize that the official DSA is straight up into communism

He’s being excoriated, but the truth is that Ken Martin is taking on the consultant class and building a strong grassroots operation while disposing of the Harris campaign’s 2024-incurred debts. Elected DNC member @DavidOAtkins gives the case for Martin: washingtonmonthly.com/2026/0…

Ken Martin is doing exactly what we sent him to do: invest in the organizing we need to win instead of late-campaign paydays for DC consultants. I write about it today at Washington Monthly. Link below:
