Considering the fall I thought I would mention this as it is always a confusing issue. We accept canaryseed at 14% moisture content as read on the canary chart.

Today's stat can seeded acreage estimate shows lentils down 10%, peas acres down 15% and canaryseed acres down 25%. Significant decreases.
Still lots of questions to answer but this is the firm starting point.
I am very impressed with this unit. Meter is very accurate and I pulled 160 L from tote plus 45 L of goldwing plus 1650 gallons in 12 mins. I actually got an extra 160 acres sprayed before the wind hit today compared to my old handler. #winning

Looking for acres for our Spanish brown lentil variety. AOG production contracts are available Fob Farm Sept-Nov 2026. Great way to diversify out of the traditional lentil markets. Variety is CDC 7026 and seed is available. DM for more info.
Stat can seeded acreage report out today. Lentils down 5%, peas down 12% and canaryseed down 6-7%. Suspect reds will rise and green lentils fall.
But, this is old data and not likely really relevant due to canola rally.

We are $12/bushel del plant for feb-may blazers. $12.50/bu for mosaic and $13/bu for acer.

Stat can announced their last round of crop prodn estimates today. Canaryseed yield is 1622 lbs per acre. This is almost exactly the amount I estimated in fall. Basically a record yield. Combined with increased acreage and we have an oversupply situation. Hence the 20 cent market
