Court Sentences Baltasar Engonga To Eight Years In Prison
An Equatorial Guinea court has sentenced the infamous Baltasar Ebang Engonga, a former senior government official, to eight years in prison for embezzlement.
Naija News reports that Engonga went viral last year after sex tapes involving him and several women leaked online.
According to Hilario Mitogo, press director of the Supreme Court, the Bioko provincial tribunal found Engonga guilty of diverting funds meant for professional travel expenses for personal use.
He was also fined $220,000.
Engonga, a former head of the national financial investigation agency, was tried alongside five other senior officials.
They were accused of misappropriating hundreds of thousands of dollars in public funds.
The case follows his detention in November, when videos of him with women, including the spouses of other officials, surfaced on social media while investigations into the embezzlement charges were ongoing.

Big Mike believes there was a lot more going on behind the scenes inside OTF than the public knows about. 😳🔥
During a new interview with No Jumper, Big Mike shared his thoughts on why OTF Jam allegedly turned against Lil Durk and began cooperating with federal authorities. While some believe Jam's decision came down to allegedly not receiving $1 million he was promised, Big Mike isn't buying that explanation.
According to Big Mike, knowing Jam personally makes him believe there had to be deeper issues within the camp. He suggested that internal tensions, personal disagreements, and the situation involving Jam's child's mother may have played a bigger role in his decision to cooperate.
Big Mike also claimed Durk and Jam didn't actually grow up together, explaining that they connected through their street affiliations after Jam returned home from serving more than a decade in prison.
He went on to question the relationships within OTF, suggesting that many people surrounding Durk weren't necessarily close friends and that different groups within the camp had their own conflicts. He believes more details could come to light if Jam testifies in another trial.
Y'all think OTF Jam turned on Durk over the money, or was something deeper going on behind the scenes? 👀🍿

Diddy made more than $1 billion from a vodka that was selling 40,000 cases a year when he took it over. Now his own lawyers say he stopped paying them.
In the video below, he explains the deal himself.
"I told him, I want to be an owner."
In 2007 Diageo, the biggest spirits company in the world, asked him to promote Ciroc. Instead of a flat fee, he took a share of the profits.
"I took it to 2.6 million cases from 40,000 cases," he says. "This is something that's never been done."
Diageo later said in court that it had paid him more than $1 billion between 2007 and 2023.
Then it fell apart. In 2023 he accused Diageo of treating Ciroc as an "urban" brand. Diageo said he broke the deal. The partnership ended.
In 2025 he was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison.
In September, his lawyers asked a judge to let them quit his $100 million defamation case, saying he hadn't paid them in more than six months. He says they overcharged him.
Last week, a judge ordered him to pay NBCUniversal $477,700 in legal fees after he lost another $100 million lawsuit.
This week, TMZ reported he was rushed from prison to a hospital.
He asked to be an owner, not a spokesman. The billion came. The lawyers are still waiting.
Was Ciroc one of the best deals in music history, or was that fortune never really his?
Jeezy remix to this is better then the original song
In 2008, T.I. turned his growing dispute with fellow Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo into one of the more personal diss records of the era. “What Up, What's Haapnin'” was released on September 2, 2008, as a single from his sixth studio album, Paper Trail. Produced by Drumma Boy, the track was rooted in a debate over neighborhood credibility, with Shawty Lo questioning T.I.'s claims to Bankhead, the Atlanta community both artists were associated with.
The dispute was bigger than ordinary lyrical competition. Shawty Lo had gained national attention with “Dey Know” and his D4L affiliation, while T.I. was already an established Southern rap star. The argument over who truly represented Bankhead became a public contest over local identity and authenticity.
