I have undertaken this project to put a face to 9/11 by posting a photo of everyone killed that day. If after everything that happened you can vote for the ideology that brought it about it's as if you are killing them yourself! Pictured below was 55 year old Sheila Barnes who worked as a secretary for the Aon Corporation in the South Tower. She had emigrated from Panama to America when she was 12 years old and she was known to be a very friendly person, a great cook and one who could always find a bargain. She left behind a husband and two children and her husband noted that he spent the first five years after her death emotionally punch drunk until he finally snapped out of it after such a devastating loss. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 27 year old Melissa Barnes who was a yeoman third class with the Navy in the Pentagon. She had been in the service since 1992 and was planning to leave soon thereafter and return to her home state of California. She started her service as a corpsman namely as a medical aide in a naval hospital in Oortsmouth, Virginia. At the time of 9/11 she was in an administrative job in telecommunications reporting to the chief of Naval operations. She was divorced from her husband and left behind her parents and one brother. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 37 year old firefighter Matthew Barnes who was killed in the North Tower. The previous year the FDNY bestowed upon him the Honor Legion medal when he saved two 6 week old twins from a 9th floor apartment on an extension ladder that he tied himself to that was swaying in the wind. After 9/11 they were able to identify his remains and he left behind a wife and three children. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 26 year old Colleen Barkow who was a project manager with Cantor Fitzgerald in the North Tower where she oversaw different projects for them most recently the building of the cafeteria of which she was very proud. She was pnly 6 days away from her first anniversary and only weeks away from moving into a home in the Poconos that she and her husband were having built. Her body was recovered on their first anniversary with her engagement and wedding rings which her husband thankfully was able to keep and treasure. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 53 year old Gerard Barbara who was an assistant chief for the FDNY and that day was assigned to be Incident commander in the South Tower where he was killed. Below you can also see him looking up at both towers in flames. He had been a firefighter for 31 years and had won several prestigious awards during that time. It was said that he loved to travel and had been to London, Paris, Italy and Mexico and had recently gone whitewater rafting. He was survived by his wife and two children and if you can forget even a single one of these people it is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 35 year old Paul Barbaro who was a software engineer for eSpeed which was a division of Cantor Fitzgerald in the North Tower. It was said of him that he loved to help other people whether it was shoveling people's drives when he was young or tending to family members. He and his family had just moved from Staten Island to their new home in New Jersey the month before 9/11 and he left behind his wife and two young children. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 44 year old Katherine Bantis who was the lead of operations for Marsh McClennan in the North Tower. She was living in Chicago but was working in New York for a few days and planned to relocate there. She had emigrated with her family to the United States from Greece when she was 12 years old and had been married once but was divorced. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!

Pictured below was 43 year old Sharon Balkcom who was an assistant vice president of computer technology at Marsh McClellan in the North Tower. From the time she was in the third grade her teachers realized she had a special aptitude for mathematics and she attended prestigious secondary schools and high schools. She eventually earned a Bachelor's Degree in political science from Colgate University and an MBA at Pace University. She had a brief marriage in the 1990s and was survived by her mother and two siblings and they started a scholarship in her honor at Colgate University. To forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!
