Goth subculture has it origins in Punk. So it was good to come across Nathan while I was at Whitby recently working on my long-term project Modern Tribes of England. Nathan straddles both subcultures and describes himself as a 'Punk Goth'.

A great day at Whitby yesterday working on the series Goths - a modern tribe of England. I met a whole raft of new generation Goths like this young woman sprting the classic Souxsie Soux look. And look, I am working in colour fir a change!
