Charlie is officially 1 week old today! Lots of little ups & downs this past week, as expected, but we have been doing our best to stay positive. Lo was discharged last Thursday, however thankfully, the hospital is just a mile down the road from our home and we have been able to frequently visit Charlie multiple times daily. He is down to just one machine at 34% oxygen. Massive improvement from his initial 100%. His medications have also decreased with a stable heart rate. He has pretty much maintained his birth weight and is now consuming Mom's milk through feeding tube! All good news! The only less-than-ideal news we have received thus far, is they have detected "blebs" on Charlie's lung scans. Doctors are hopeful this is something that can repair itself overtime so for now, we just keep praying. Thank you all for the love, positivity and donations to keep us afloat while we continue to fight. π
