In these dark times with so much chaos, I'm reminded it's easy to hurt & destroy but real hard to unite & build.

Advance provinciql poll still open until 8 pm. No line up at 5745 Wales St. You can go to any poll station near you!
Our species doesn't need Skynet to wipe us out. AI is altering political narratives in elections, 1/3 of Canadian youth (reported by Global News this morning) are using AI for mental health help, killers & terrorists are using AI. AI can easily guide us to wipe ourselves out 🤯
I think it is time to vote in coalition governments. No more railroading things through from a majority govt. Negotiation and collaboration imo are the public's best chances to get policies that include more than they leave behind. 🤔
He is unlike other politicians because he doesn't virtue signal. He doesn't drink narrative koolaid. He takes a stand when others don't. Many politicians would benefit from studying what he does. 👏
It is like a superman gaining strength day. Our sun is more orange yellow than red now. The sad aftermath of fires burned out and towns burned down and the smoke clearing for now.
Felt like an Armageddon morning. It was cold and I could look at the sun because of the forest fire smoke blocking it. Is this what a nuclear winter could feel like on a small scale?
FIFA might have been fun but the financial cost imo wasn't worth it. Kind of like a highschool substance binging party. 🤷🏽
Politicians come and go, narratives come and go, fights come and go, in the end, we only have one home. Happy Canada Day everyone! 🇨🇦
Imo the most powerful statement by the new governor general "perspectives matter".
Extreme consensus is as dangerous as extreme views. 🫶
I respect those who will not be part of backroom dealings. Resignations before a whole ship is known to be sinking but rather at the beginning when the terrible course has just begun moving are often a sign of moral compasses.
It'll be interesting to see what else lays ahead 🍿
WATCH: With Chief Constable Norm Lipinkski being abruptly shown the door on Monday, and then two directors of the Police Board resigning in protest. The union says its confidence in the board is at a low point. Jack Rabb reports. vancouver.citynews.ca/video/…
The news reports that FIFA games won't allow empty reusable water bottles out of player safety concerns but bottled water will be available for sale. I guess one could try bringing an empty "one time use bottle" into the stadium and refill at the water bottle stations 🤷🏽
Prioritizing social nets to save people from economic failure rather than prioritizing economic prosperity so social nets aren't needed leads to a self fulfilling prophecy. My mom used to say "always best to avoid an accident than to depend on insurance to fix the damage." 🤔
Profound concept from a documentary about Japanese internment in BC, the parents never let their kids feel unhappy. They made the best of a bad situation.
This is what happens when leverage and global unregulated capital are allowed to expand real estate values well beyond affordable values. Court ordered sale means someone could not meet their debt obligations. This will affect values of surrounding properties.

science behind why a launch pad in Canada isn't smart.
Rocket launches eastward from Cape Canaveral gives a speed boost of 914–915 mph, a 5% of the speed needed to reach low earth orbit because of the higher rotational speed of the earth's surface closer to the equator. 🤯
A reason our economy is in trouble & why buy Canadian doesn't work is the crippling amounts of income & hidden taxes we pay. Tax freedom day is now June 8 so we're still working for no pay til then. Middle class families are paying so much tax they could buy a new car per year.
