A long thread on Russian society, state and military.
Seems to join many of the dots.
tldr: the Kremlin has jumped off a cliff, is currently waving frantically in mid air. There will be a big thud.
We might not like the result.
Alex Salmond's Alba party had no impact on the Scottish Regional List votes (or the election overall).
If every ALBA vote went to the SNP, the result would be the same.
In each round an MSP is allocated to the party with the highest D'Hondt ratio - votes/(MSPs + 1)

Given its probably a class based risk (adenovirus vector vaccines), here are the comparative risks between ending up in hospital intensive care vs the very rare blood clots for the AZ vaccine.

JVT presents this slide showing the risks of ending up in intensive care thanks to covid during a given 16-weeks period, versus the risk of serious harm from vaccine-linked clotting (if we assume a level of covid in the community somewhat lower than UK has now).
If you're in the middle of an outbreak, the risks are heavily outweighed by benefits...

And the slide based on 'high exposure risk' ie the level of covid seen in UK at peak of second wave.
Conclusion: in a serious outbreak the vaccine is very beneficial for everyone, but when infection rates fall to very low levels then the risks may outweigh benefits for youngest.

Patience.
The "fill and finish" is being done in Italy whilst Liomont is being fixed.
It takes minimum 28 days (all countries) to await quality control "release".
The doses will probably become available in South/Central America in the next few weeks.

I don't believe that is true.
The UK has given 9.7m AZ vaccines. Here is the MHRA list of medical events after taking the vaccine ("yellow card scheme").
Only 14 DVTs compared to 23,454 headaches.

This Brussels "Attorney at law" was kind enough to give his opinion on what was available of the AZ contract.
Much in line with the consensus.

With only the (redacted) contract available, hard to say whether BE have been reasonably undertaken or not (where they had to be). BUT, with the same material in hand and making abstraction of the foregoing, I see no breach, including no breach of 5.1 and 5.4. Enjoy the weekend.

Is it not irresponsible to publish unsourced hearsay at times like this?
Did the sources say why this is emerging from Germany when the trials are conducted in UK, USA, SA, Brazil and Japan?
