And a lot more judges like Aileen Cannon. And a lot more cabinet members like Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, RFK Junior, Howard Nutlick. Unconscionable.
Let's be really clear about what this performative opposition means: Gottheimer, Scholten et al are willing to hand Trump two more Supreme Court justices

There are very few people who by the force of their own personalities, their drive and determination, and remarkable talents, can almost single-handedly change a culture. That was Gloria Steinem. May her memory be a blessing.

Frank LaRose is one of the most despicable and dishonest people I have observed in public life
If I'm reading this right, Republican Frank LaRose is saying that he will clean up Ohio state government -- which has been under the full control of REPUBLICANS for most of the last 30 years 🤔

To confirm more Aileen Cannons, Clarence Thomases, Sam Alitos, Pete Hegseths, RFK Jrs, Todd Blanches, eviscerate Medicaid and Medicare, enrich billionaires, blow up voting and our democracy, destroy our military and undermine national security. Stay smug. Watch it all burn down.

Trump's wrong. The National Academy of Sciences was created by President Lincoln to be THE NATION'S advisory body on science. Including Presidents and congressional members. In 2005. the NAS joined 11 other leading nations' academies in an urgent call for climate action. royalsociety.org/-/media/abo…
Trump: The National Academy of Sciences has historically published analytical Scientific Manuals expressly for our Federal Judiciary. Of course, the Academy has been run by Radical Left Dumocrats who, it turns out, published fraudulent, biased, and misleading Manuals on Climate Change. These bogus Manuals were used by Judges to decide massive "Climate Change" Cases, and have created huge losses across our Country. These Manuals have been totally DISCREDITED. Our Nation's Federal Judges deserve Facts and Science, not Political Fraud and False Science on Climate. With this TRUTH, I hereby order Federal Suspension and Debarment Officials to review this conduct. Our Taxpayers should not be funding Climate Fraud, and Judges should never have relied upon it.

The ratio of population between small and large states in 17 89–1776 doesn’t matter when it comes to the constitutional design— was 10 or 12 to one. Now it’s more than 70 to 1.

It is tempting to simply view this speech with derision. A feeble demagogue lying over and over. It is far more dangerous and insidious. Trump is trying to lay the predicate to declare a national emergency and seize control of the election machinery. Potentially to seize control of television and radio outlets. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Yes, this speech was pathetic, filled with rants and lies upon lies. Yes, it exposed him even more as somebody deep into mental decline. Put that aside for the broader reality: it is a predicate to the destruction of our democracy. 6

And bear in mind one other serious danger if these ploys do not work for the House of Representatives. That is Mike Johnson, refusing to seat legitimately elected Democrats so that he can illegally and unconstitutionally hold power. 5

Trump says Democrats forgot to rig the election in 2016, successfully rigged it while *he* was president in 2020, then forgot how to rig it again in 2024. So the only election Democrats supposedly stole was the one he himself controlled. You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe this bullshit.

The United States helped build the modern law of war crimes after World War II because it understood something basic. Power without accountability is how atrocities get repeated instead of prosecuted. Rubio is not defending sovereignty today. He is defending the position that American personnel should be investigable by no court on earth, not even after Nuremberg set the opposite precedent for everyone else. Sovereignty was never supposed to mean immunity. That is not patriotism. That is impunity.
The words “international,” “criminal,” and “court” should never be used together—certainly not in reference to the United States of America. Thank you, @SecRubio, for defending America’s sovereignty.

Blowing up mail voting, restricting, early voting, cutting polling places, having ICE intimidate voters in long lines. Voters will need to be very highly motivated, for many that means waiting in line 6, 7 or eight hours. I fear too many will leave after a couple of hours.

I am fine with senators praising Lindsey’s warmth and humor. I shared some beers with him too. And his early positive history. But not to mention what Lindsey had become, the threat he posed to our fundamental political system, his willingness to shred Senate norms? Not OK.
