Best first run distillation day ever at the reborn George Washington Distillery! Things ran as smooth as silk (and tasted that way, as well)

GW Distillery still running smoothly. 5 batches distilled today, second 5 are already started! Looking Great!

Day 8: 15 mashes done, 6 distilled 1st pass. Running 5 stills for first time in 207 years! 235 wine gallons of first run spirit so far.

WhistlePig rye is launching! 10 yr old, 100% rye,100 proof ... only 1000 cases for year 1... i hope it doesn't run out too quickly...

It's amazing how quickly the interest in rye has grown. Too bad that means the supply of properly matured rye is rapidly dwindling.

I think the best rye would be about 10 years old & about 100 proof. I would also like a 100% rye, so you get the full effect of the rye.

Recently, I've been learning lots about rye whiskey..and I found a limited supply of some really good stuff. Product launch details coming.
