An area of low pressure associated with a front is off the east coast of the U.S. this morning, with a 40% chance for subtropical development. This low is slowly moving NNE over the Gulf stream. Over the next couple of days, this low could briefly achieve subtropical traits. It's window will be brief before it starts to accelerate northeastward and away from the United States. At this point, only high surf, and some beach erosion are expected along coast of the NE U.S. The next name on the Atlantic Tropical list is Josephine.
