Watching the @dallascowboys struggle two weeks in a row reminded me of why we as a Jets offense were terrible in back to back afc championship games in '09' and '10'....mid OC by the name of Brian Schottenheimer.

Troy Aikman: “I’ll broadcast through this season and I’ll be a free agent at the end of the year, and kind of see what happens. But I’m looking forward to whatever the rest of this year does hold, and with the Super Bowl and all that, and where my next landing spot might be.”
Cowboys Hall of Famer @TroyAikman joined The Musers this morning, and the guys gave let him have the floor to address the headlines over the last 24 hours about his situation over at ESPN, regarding his contract status.

I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it.
I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.

Coach Announces Mike Pettine To Join the Staff

BREAKING: The Cowboys are adding veteran defensive mind Mike Pettine to help Christian Parker.
Pettine brings years of experience running multiple fronts, disguising pressure and building aggressive defensive game plans. His résumé includes defenses that finished 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th in total defense during different coordinator stops.
The biggest part of this move? Pettine helped give Christian Parker his first NFL opportunity, and now the teacher is coming in to help the student through his first season calling a defense.
This isn’t about replacing Parker. It’s about giving him another experienced set of eyes in the room.
Now the question is simple…
Can Pettine help Dallas clean up the run defense, create more pressure and finally get this defense playing faster?

Dak Prescott when asked if he’s fatigued by the Cowboys’ highs and lows of the last couple of years: “It’s frustrating. I wouldn’t say I’m personally fatigued. But yeah, it’s frustrating. I feel like this game was similar to the Cardinals game last year and then I feel like I can probably pick another one from the year before.
“And so as a leader, as a guy that’s been on this team, it’s frustrating because you don’t feel it until afterwards. You feel like you’re saying enough, you’re being contagious enough, you’re being the leader that you need to be. And I know guys are fighting. I know guys are trying, but it sucks. And yeah, I definitely won’t use the word fatigue, but it’s frustrating. It’s challenging. It’s very, very challenging, and it’s something that I’m going to embrace.
“Thankfully, we’re five games into the season. Thankfully our division hasn’t (had a team that has) taken off and run (away) with it and everybody’s still in front of us. So that’s the beauty of it. And that’s the unique part about an NFL season and these divisions and the ups and the downs of just the years. We’d feel a lot worse if somebody in our division was 5-0 right now. And so having pretty much everything still out in front of us gives myself and all the guys in the locker room a lot of confidence.
“… It’s these kind of games that you feel like you should just walk in and win. And I guess that some of us may feel that way, that we’ve got to find a way to make them mean just as much as the big games — you get what I'm saying — the teams that have a lot of wins. Because these are the ones that, when we look back at the end of the year and we’re looking at seeding, hell, if we would’ve gotten the game that we were supposed to win, we would be a higher seeding or we’d be better.
“And that’s to Schotty’s point, is you just got to handle your business in this league and that means winning the games you’re supposed to win and that’ll help a lot.”
