After MNF, I decided to dig deeper
In the past 20 games, Dak Prescott has 7 positive EPA games not result in a win. Of those, 5 had an EPA of at least .20
Jalen Hurts has 7 positive EPA losses in his past 66 regular season starts. Of those, only 2 had an EPA >.10
Little salt in the wound:
NFL NextGen Stats considers an EPA >.20 to be Elite, MVP level play
Since 2023, Dak has had 7 such performances not result in a win (6 losses and 1 tie)
Lamar, Goff, and Burrow each have 5
Allen(4), Herbert(3), Stafford(2), Mahomes(1)
Since 2023 (excluding Maye and Williams) the win/loss record in negative EPA games for the ESPN top 10 is:
