AI may change the value of particular degrees and skills. It does not remove the wider advantages that university can provide. Interesting article in @thetimes by @LouisaClarence points out that in an AI world, human skills you learn at university, such as reasoning and communication, as well as the networks and connections you build, may be MORE important in the future. Anti-university rhetoric creates a danger that disadvantaged kids are put off going - and the advantages of Uni become concentrated in the better off. Uni is not for everyone, and we do need strong alternative routes to success. But, we should be cautious about advising against the university route too. @suttontrust
