Over the last year, I’ve added tons of features and made it one of the most affordable analytics tools compared to similar products, with plenty more on the way.
But DataFast only exists because of its early users. So everyone who subscribed before October 31 will be grandfathered into today’s price, for as long as they keep their subscription active.

Dove deep into how @DataFast_ tracks website data — it’s all in a compact 4KB JS script!
- It sets a unique visitor and session IDs with cookies
- Filters the bots
- The script reads window.location.href for the current page URL and document.referrer for the URL of the previous page the visitor came from.
- Captures the visitors screen size
- Parses URL query parameters to extract marketing click IDs
- tracks pageviews, scroll, clicks
- Detects payments (Stripe, LemonSqueezy)
And then sends all the data securely in real time

It kinda pains me to say that because I wanted to make a marketer-first analytics app after I sold Talknotes 🥲
But instead of just *thinking* about making an analytics app like I did, Marc actually shipped it
And I have to admit, Datafast does the job well, and is getting better every day, so, good job!
