Tech can work for everybody—we're making it easier for social justice organizers to share info s.coop/1wtcp #GrowDCC

Hey everyone, we've set ourselves up as @dcc@social.coop on #mastodon. See y'all there!

DCC is having our AGM on Friday, November 12, 12-2 pm Eastern. Nominate someone who'd be great on the Data Commons Co-op board! We want to think with you about what membership means and the value that the co-op can help generate among data-sharing members and #data users.

We are excited to see so much great energy in the #coops world. NYC, Chicago, worker co-ops, housing co-ops, it's becoming so clear that #cooperation is the future. And we want to help map that!

We’re really enjoying the Platforms Co-ops course from @platformcoop and @enMONDRAGON ! Thanks for putting on a great course!

We have updated data from @FoodCoopInit and have also pulled in @dotCoop info! Check it out: find.coop

Hey everyone! We're having our annual meeting tomorrow at Noon Eastern. docs.google.com/document/d/1… We'd love to see you! Check out our updates on Data Use Agreements, Data Fields, and an updated datacommons.coop website. Give us feedback and ideas!

The DCC’s data sharing working group has started to share a beta version of our data use agreement. It’s one way to make sharing easier! See datacommons.coop/2020/04/17/…

So many great ideas from all over the world at the #platformcoops conference! Our fave: #ConsentfulTech: consent should be freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic, and specific! That's what we want.

We're excited to welcome @TheDj_Dhananjay as the newest DCC member! He's passionate about the agri-food system and has been active with the ICA. We look forward to expanding the data on co-ops globally with him! #members #data #fairdata

DCC Annual General Meeting June 21st - mailchi.mp/da6ddea30599/dcc-… Join us on June 21st as we elect a new board member, discuss ways to improve the DCC website, and brainstorm what a find.coop log-in looks like. #data #FairData #coops #SolidarityEconomy

Don’t miss our Annual General Meeting in two weeks, June 21, noon-2 pm Eastern -- we will have a work session on improving datacommons.coop site and creating a login to find.coop for data sharers AND listed groups.

Research on the horizon: collaborating with former DCC board member Jeff Piestrak and @TheCoFED to map local and POC-owned businesses in the food system! Yay #datasharing!

Democratic ownership of #data! Yes!

Save the date for the 2019 @datacommons annual meeting, May 17 noon-2 Eastern! And, if you have board nominations, send them our way. Thanks!

Are people interested in #data sovereignty? Because we are! Tell us what’s interesting to you about having control over who gets your data, how it’s displayed, and how it’s used.

Welcome to In Common, a Belgium-based data commons organization and @datacommons newest member. See incommon.cc/ to check out the cool stuff they're doing. Can't wait to collaborate! @matsimonson

One of the great ways #data can be used to promote #coops !

congratulations to @datacommons bd mbr @yvonnegraphy on getting a grant from @antipodeonline to map the solidarity economy in LA! Super exciting and we look forward to collaborating.

People at the #CommonBound18 Data Sharing Network Gathering asked, How can we measure what people really value in their economic institutions, beyond being a co-op? @NewEconomics @NCBACLUSA @platformcoop @solidarityeco
