I get this but Lane has had Gameday mental health issues in the past AND his parents are sick. Not using a free roster spot on a lineman is just such an unforced error
Here's the explanation: You can only use the full 48 spots on the active roster if you have eight offensive linemen active.
With Lane Johnson being ruled out late, the #Eagles only have seven active offensive linemen and therefore couldn't use that final spot.
