🚨 LEGAL UPDATE 🚨
From today, employers will have a legal duty to prevent and protect workers from 3rd party harassment from customers. Something which is all too common in our industry.
The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act is something @unitetheunion has campaigned for since the duty was removed by the Tories in 2013.
We need this law to go further though, to obligate employers to take “all reasonable steps” to prevent harassment and to protect their workforce.
