BREAKING: Utah Prop 4 repeal will not make it on the 2026 ballot.
Signature removal requests processed on Wednesday brought SD15 nearly 260 names below the threshold.
The petition now has enough signatures in only 25 of 29 state Senate districts and no longer qualifies for the ballot. Signature removals will continue until April 23.
Utah GOP chair Rob Axson told me:
"We have significant concerns about the practices utilized by the opposition and continue to review the signature validation and removal process."
"Given today’s update, we want to thank the hundreds of thousands of Utahns who signed our initiative. Utahns spoke loudly in the face of an unprecedented onslaught of biased media coverage, outside influence, and judicial interference."

The GOP convention is no longer a family friendly environment. I’m mortified by the vulgarity and viciousness my young nieces were exposed to by another gubernatorial campaign’s supporters. It’s embarrassing, sad, and clearly no longer for kids.

My daughter came to pick me up and run me to the airport. She was with two friends. She was wearing athletic shorts and a zip up jacket (She was headed to the gym after they dropped me off). A woman at the help desk mocked her and shamed her and embarrassed her. All three kids (age 19-20) said it was their first time at a Republican convention and it’ll be their last.

There’s no other way to say it, this is total bullshit. Putting big campaign signs on merge lanes on I-15 creates a dangerous obstruction. Somebody’s going to get hurt. It’s illegal and shows a lack of judgment. Don’t put our state employees at risk to remove them!
