Watchdog group @CREWcrew files legal challenge, asking court to block Jared Kushner from serving as Trump envoy
They allege he's “breaking the law by acting as one of the country’s top diplomats without undergoing Senate confirmation or filing financial disclosures.”

There’s no evidence that White House press secretary Katie Zacharia practiced law in the U.S.
Several experts said that if a person is not a licensed lawyer but is identifying as one, that presents serious ethical and legal problems. wapo.st/4ikpoPi
ALT A person is speaking at a podium with the White House emblem in the background. The text on the image reads, "Katie Zacharia calls herself a lawyer. The Post found no evidence that she was admitted to practice law in the U.S." Several hands are raised in front.

Scoop: The White House rushed to install four new chandeliers in the West Wing earlier this year, handing a no-bid award to a small contractor.
Why the urgency? The White House said a birthday was coming up.

Italian PM Meloni on the Russian diesel deal:
The outcome of this decision is doubtful, while the risks are clear: legitimizing Moscow while its bombs continue to fall on Ukrainian cities, financing its war, and weakening sanctions.
These elements contradict what Western countries, including the United States, have done so far to push Putin to the negotiating table.

Totally insane levels of corruption and abuse of power are swirling all around us and my sense is that as angry as voters are about the cost of living they mostly are so awash in cynicism about politics that they don’t understand how egregious Trump is.
Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate-- then were told to lay off. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

Trump cut a deal to provide billions in sanctions relief to Russia, and now the Pentagon is screwing with Starlink to make it harder for Ukraine to launch interceptor drones and conduct strikes on Russian territory. All while Putin hammers Ukrainian cities and energy sites.
While Musk owns SpaceX which controls Starlink systems and can impose restrictions on them in Ukraine, those that began overnight are on the Starshield military version of the system controlled by the Pentagon. This suggests the decision to limit the speed of the Starshield systems was made within the Trump administration. ft.com/content/37085602-726a…
