College Democrats are heartbroken to hear of the horrific shooting in Austin, Texas. We don’t want to hear thoughts and prayers from legislators today. Instead we want promises that common sense gun legislation will be introduced.

The three American servicemembers who were killed in action today are true patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. My heart is with them and their loved ones — we will never forget your service and your sacrifice.
I am praying for the five American servicemembers who were injured today and for the safety and success of every American in uniform serving in harm’s way tonight.
We owe these patriots a sacred obligation that we must honor in Congress by doing our jobs and upholding our Constitution.
CENTCOM Update
TAMPA, Fla. – As of 9:30 am ET, March 1, three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury.
Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.
The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.

Kelly Ayotte has spent a year in the corner office — and the only thing she has to show for it is an affordability crisis of her own doing. #NHPolitics

Make no mistake, Kelly Ayotte and Donald Trump’s dangerous Medicaid cuts are ripping health care from rural Granite Staters. #NHPolitics indepthnh.org/2025/12/28/rur…

Health care centers across NH are facing a workforce shortage.
I’m urging @usedgov to add graduate nursing to its professional programs list because limiting pathways to education for those pursuing nursing is bad policy and insulting to the life-saving care nurses provide.

Whether you're a Republican or Democrat, the soaring cost of health care impacts everyone.
Republicans need to join us to extend the ACA tax credits that help bring down premium costs before it's too late. The President’s own pollsters have underscored the political urgency.

As our economy rapidly changes, young people need pathways to opportunity that won’t burden them with debt.
I introduced a bill to expand early college programs, allowing more students to earn college credit while in high school & helping families save money on college costs.

Pete Hegseth is a fundamentally unserious person who lacks the experience, judgment, and character to serve as our Secretary of Defense.

Pianos and ski lessons for wealthy families.
That’s what Kelly Ayotte’s private school voucher scheme is funding with YOUR taxpayer dollars — and now the state is scrambling to cover its paper trail. #NHPolitics concordmonitor.com/2025/11/3…

🚨JUST NOW — the U.S. House of Representatives passed my bipartisan bill to bolster resources for rural small businesses across America, cut senseless red tape, and deliver for New Hampshire. 🚨

My heart is with the two members of the National Guard who were shot in our nation’s capital. They are serving because they love our country and I am praying for them, for their loved ones, and for all guardsmen. Thank you to every first responder and law enforcement professional who acted with courage and love to care for the victims of the shooting and keep our capital safe.
May God Bless our troops and the United States of America.

I strongly condemn the President's calls for the execution of his political opponents and urge everyone who has condemned political violence in the past to come out against it.
Violent rhetoric like this is a poison to our democracy.
Dartmouth Democrats retweeted
There is no place for violence in our politics, and President Trump's posts today calling for the execution of members of Congress must be retracted and strongly condemned.
Anything less endangers our democracy.
