Trump posted this. Blasphemous? In the extreme. But you know who I blame for this more than Trump? Word-Faith/NAR preachers who have been surrounding him for years. Paula White compared Trump to Jesus just last week. Two of the most prominent SBC pastors, Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham, have given their full support of Paula White. Trump attended Las Vegas International Church some years ago and "Pastor Denise," had Trump come on stage and she said of him, "What I hear the Lord say, 'This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.'" She not only compared Trump directly to the Son of God, but claimed God as the source of her information. Sheer blasphemy. Trump is no theologian. These Word-Faith/NAR charlatans and heretics claim to be. And shame on Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham for supporting them. In doing so, they participate in their sin.

To every parent of a prodigal: Don’t give up. Toxic influences will fall. Lies will lose their grip. We have to believe - God still opens blind eyes. He still breaks chains. Truth will rise. Grace will find them. Love will lead them home.

The person on the left is a female. The person on the right is a male - but note very well that he is NOT a man. Real men don't beat up women. He is a male coward who deserves to be shamed and shunned. And any male who would support this sick, twisted display of depravity is not a man either. Period.

So many are saying God intervened and saved former President Trump's life. I get the sentiment, but I do not believe God intervened here - or ever, for that matter. Let me explain.... To say that God intervenes is to imply that most of the time God is up in Heaven twirling His anthropomorphic thumbs without very much to do. Every once in a while, He sees things getting a little out of balance and off-kilter so He reaches down to "intervene" and get things back on the right track. But that is not the picture scripture paints of God. God is not only the Creator of the universe, but He is also its Sustainer. Hebrews 1:3 states that Christ "upholds all things by the word of His power." Every atom in the entire and incomprehensibly vast universe is being held in its proper place this very moment by the constant exertion of God's power. There is never a time when God is not working. There is never a time when He is not sustaining. If God were to ever cease working even for a single millisecond, the entire universe - right along with you and me - would experience instant de-creation. Everything would cease to exist. Did God protect Trump's life yesterday? Yes, of course He did. Was that His intervention? To be theologically accurate - No. It was one fleeting moment and one tiny expression of His unceasing work, providential rule over and ongoing sustainment of His own creation. Selah.
REPORT: Donald Trump says a last millisecond head tilt likely saved his life as slowed-down footage shows the bullet grazing his ear. If Trump hadn't moved his head, the bullet would likely have hit the rear of his head, ending his life. Trump says he turned his head to look at the illegal immigration statistics that were on the big screen at his rally. "That chart that I was going over saved my life," Trump reportedly said to former White House doctor Ronny Jackson. "The border patrol saved my life." "If I hadn’t pointed at that chart and turned my head to look at it, that bullet would have hit me right in the head."

And some folks still want to sing Bethel Music. 🙄
The man who falsely prophesied Trump would win in 2020, then apologized for the false prophecy, then retracted his apology thinking maybe he was right after all, then apologized again once the prophecy was proven false, wants to teach you how to be a prophet. All for $425. 👍🏻

Discernment in worship music is critical. It’s not just that we should sing songs which teach the truth, but the most truth. We should also avoid singing songs written by heretical groups (Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation). Point believers to orthodox, sound musicians.

This is the kind of thing that makes no sense about Asbury. Why did these men have to drive 9 hours to Asbury to pray 30 minutes? They spent 18x as much time driving as they did praying. And what led them to believe the Holy Spirit is there at "the altar" at Asbury in a more tangible/real/special way than He is where they began their 9 hour drive? Is He not omnipresent? Are their prayers more effective at Asbury than at their homes? Is God closer to Asbury? Is there a celestial portal that has opened up over Wilmore, KY that is not open over, say, Walla Walla Washington? And how long will this portal stay open? And why have thousands from all over the world flocked to a place in Kentucky to catch "the anointing" or "the fire" so they can then carry it back to their respective homes? That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. I have no doubt these men are sincere and I do not disparage their motives, but this kind of thinking is much more at home with pagan religions, Islam (think Mecca), Word-Faith/N.A.R. and Roman Catholicism than biblical Christianity. This is the bad theology and practice that comes from bad/weak teaching.

Reading and writing are important, and so is music. Science and engineering are important, and so is music. Sport and physical education are important, and so is music. And so is music. Music isn’t the poor relation to any subject. Music is there - important, needed, necessary.
