When Steve Martin first performed “King Tut” on Saturday Night Live back in 1978, my brothers and I thought it was the funniest thing we'd ever seen! We laughed so hard, and all these years later, it STILL cracks me up! 😂
Those were the days when we could all sit around the television, laugh at something completely ridiculous, and nobody seemed to get offended. Just good old-fashioned, silly comedy that brought everyone together.
And who could forget Steve Martin in The Jerk? “The new phone books are here! The new phone books are here!” That man could make the simplest things absolutely hilarious! 🤣
