Back in 2024, my friend had a Sudanese neighbour in Nabutiiti, we call Lower it Muyenga. 😃 it’s for rich people
The guy used to cook beans on gas, owned the latest iPhones and would sometimes show up with expensive cars over the weekends. Every time a new iPhone was launched, somehow, he was never left behind! 😂
But here’s where things got interesting. he wasn’t even living in his own place. He was staying with a man we suspected to be a soldier.
Fast-forward to his graduation at KIU and we discovered that this guy was actually the son of a minister in Sudan! 😳😂 The man he had been staying with all along his bodyguard.
All that time, he had been living quietly, keeping his real identity under wraps.
I hear people say that Sudanese people are poor but wait until you meet my Sudanese neighbour here in Uganda. Oh Lord! 😭
The man has money! He owns apartments, a residential house worth UGX 700 million and five expensive cars parked at his home.
The funny part? He has a Range Rover to take his children to an international school in Muyenga every morning. His son, on the other hand, drives the latest Ford Ranger. 😭😂
