Is the @BBCNews supposed to be the “National” news or is it in practice only concerned with reporting issues in England? Yet another “national” report - this time on airport scanners made no mention of the situation in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Why not?

World record MS gift
An anonymous donor has given CDN$33.8 million (£20.2m) to the University of British Columbia in Canada to promote MS research.
The donation will be used, in part, to develop & test next-generation cell & gene based therapies.
