The Key Match Incidents Panel voted 5-0 that the the decision not to send Gabriel off against Chelsea was the correct one.
"The panel unanimously supported the referee's call of no red card. Multiple players were on the ground competing and challenging for the loose ball, and the action of Gabriel was not deemed to be an act of violent conduct or serious foul play."

Elliot Anderson sends the ball to the sky but no yellow.
It’s insane that the same Oliver sent Trossard off against City for the same thing.
Wanting your team to loose just so another team can loose is insane.
He hates Arsenal more than he likes his own club😂😭

People treat Gabriel like Satan when this is what other teams are on
- Roja perdonada a MacAllister.
- 4 amarillas perdonadas (Van Dijk, Szoboszlai, Jacquet y Ngumoha).
- 2 penaltis por manos de Szoboszlai y Victor Muñoz no pitados.
Sacó amarilla a Pubill cuando no era, que puto escandalo y vosotros callados @Atleti.

I’ve realised that no matter what happens in football, DOUBLE STANDARDS will always exist. And the David Raya debate is a perfect example. 👀
Go back to the days of Petr Čech at Chelsea.
Chelsea had arguably the BEST DEFENCE IN THE WORLD — John Terry, Carvalho and an elite defensive unit protecting him.
Yet when Čech made incredible saves and kept clean sheets, nobody said:
“Of course he looks good, his defence is protecting him.”
Instead, people praised his positioning, his shot-stopping, his consistency and his ability to make crucial saves when Chelsea needed him.
And rightly so. Čech DESERVED those praises.
Now look at Arsenal.
We have one of the best defensive units in football, we keep clean sheets regularly and David Raya has played his part in that.
But somehow, whenever Raya gets praise, people suddenly remember that HE HAS A GOOD DEFENCE IN FRONT OF HIM. 😭
So let me understand this…
When Čech had an elite defence, it was a platform that allowed a GREAT goalkeeper to shine.
When Raya has an elite defence, apparently the defence is the ONLY reason he looks good. 🤔
The same circumstances that were used to celebrate Čech are now being used to discredit Raya.
That’s what makes the goalkeeper debate so funny.
You can acknowledge that Arsenal’s defence is excellent AND acknowledge that Raya is an excellent goalkeeper. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
A great defence helps a goalkeeper.
A great goalkeeper also helps a defence.
But apparently, depending on who we’re talking about, the rules change. 😂
DOUBLE STANDARDS IN FOOTBALL ARE THICK. And people apply them exactly where the narrative suits them. 👀
