Oscar Wilde was born on October the 16th, 1854 in Dublin, so is 172 today! He often made a slight adjustment so he seemed a few years younger. Happy Birthday Oscar from the Oscar Wilde Society. Do raise a glass to Oscar this evening. We will be! @OscarWildeUK @GylesB1

It’s Oscar Wilde’s birthday - and here I am with his grandson Merlin Holland who kindly unveiled a bust of me when I played Lady Bracknell a few years ago. I’m the proud president of @OscarWildeUK & we’ll be partying later! I’m not sure what the dress code is tonight.

... and as we know the Irish writer & poet spent his final years in Paris, in a rented room in a building near the Latin Quarter, - now a small but magnificent five-star hotel that pays tribute to the great #OscarWilde 🎭💓
We were allowed in one very last time to say goodbye 🙏❤️☘️🎭#london #titestreet #oscarwilde #chelsea @fatdanmusic
