Great to have @dannimccormack on to talk about her career and her decision to retire.
I will always appreciate the time Danni gave to me throughout her career.
Her honesty and her desire to be the best fighter & person that she could be was infectious. Happy retirement champ.

Danni had a great career, should have got a shot in the UFC, but that will not define the success that she had and impact she has made on Irish MMA.

This was to pay off a joke that started before @dannimccormack's previous fight. After the "doughtnut promo," I knew we needed to have a box ready after her title defense.

Very rarely we see the mainstream sports media in Ireland cover MMA but @dannimccormack's story is so interesting that it had to be done. Great job by @mlverney, one of the best in the country!

I know a lot of people found fault with Bellator (me included... still waiting on a proper TV deal 🤣🤣🤣) but it did something for Ireland that the UFC could (would) never do.
It made high-quality MMA accessible, regularly on our shores.
They showcased title fights and their top fighters many times in Dublin - something we craved from the UFC but haven't gotten in years.
Plus, they gave some great opportunities to Irish fighters. People criticised it at the time, and they were wrong. Having additional options was always a good thing and Bellator really did that for Irish fighters. Paid them well and put them in front of thousands of local fans. Some amazing nights.
I really hope PFL realises it has something special in Ireland. March and September cards in Dublin should come back and be something to look forward to every year for Irish fans and for the PFL itself. Bring us the best of Irish and some worldwide talent and the Irish crowds will show up. Like they always have.
