Hi, I'm Daniel.
I run BrightStudios and design brand identity systems and build the websites to match. The throughline isn't industry It's the moment: companies at fundraise, launch, rebrand, or going upmarket.
My work spans across SaaS, consumer, hospitality, education, marketplace, and a few that don't fit a category.
Started designing at 18. Top 1% on Contra. Framer Partner, Webflow Partner most importantly a Barca fan.
A few names you might recognize: DAZN, Contra, Daydream, Hypernative, Marcura, Averi AI, SupaHumans.
I put together a reel of recent work, here it is:
A client of mine was the third designer to join Facebook, and the Like button is one of the projects he worked on there.
His review says he interviewed many designers for the project before choosing me, and that “we worked together like a small startup.”
Fifteen years since I last stood on a skateboard. First session back today and it was rough. Balance is completely gone, so the trucks came a little tighter before I went in.
Still, I'm excited to keep going. Childhood hobby, back on the list.
“I would love to engage you on future projects for updating the website as well.”
A client's feedback after their website went live. Thank you for trusting me with it.
New inquiries on my Contra profile go to an AI intake assistant first. It reads what the person already sent and asks only for what's missing to scope the work. “Not sure yet” is a fine answer on budget, and a complete brief skips the questions.
So my first reply can start with their product.
Before you ask anyone for a website proposal, write down what you explain on every first sales call.
That list is what your site has to carry.
A review from a client building an AI talent platform:
“Understands all things brand very well! Amazing at messaging!”

Watch me live now on Uncontrad YouTube Channel where it was my pleasure to get interviewed by @Danielgbright & @IsmelFigueroa 🐐
I talked about How AI is changing the roles for a designers, What I'm doing rn and why beginners shouldn't start using AI in the very 1st hand 🤌
This was once in a lifetime moment to be in a podcast kind of environment where I loved to be me and say out things and facts upfront 🤞

UnContrad is live.
@vinayjunejaa joins me and @IsmelFigueroa to talk about cutting his research from 2.5 days to 4 hours with AI. He builds sales systems for creators who already have the audience.
Good conversation, worth the watch.

The noun on your homepage picks your competitors for you.
Sync called itself a marketplace. Buyers filed it next to stranger to stranger apps.
We moved it to "car rental in Greece" now the benchmark is Sixt
Fix the noun before the logo.
I drew faces constantly as a kid and never studied design. I worked at a few agencies, then left one I actually liked to go out on my own.
Today that's BrightStudios, and I've designed for 100+ companies and startups. Self-taught turned out fine.
Three weeks into building the Pasted website, after the design was approved, an 11-page document arrived with a whole new vision.
It was beautiful work, and it described a different project at the agreed price.
I asked them to decide: keep the approved scope, or pause and price the new idea separately. On day six, they chose the original. We shipped two weeks later.
The brand guidelines I wrote for bem had two readers, and one of them was software.
In 2024, bem raised a $3.7M seed led by Uncork Capital, with Garry Tan among the angels. Its CEO, Antonio Bustamante, runs an AI agent that makes the company's weekly marketing graphics.
The team can use judgment. The agent needs every rule spelled out in the file.
A new brand and a new website can run in parallel.
The website can start once the brand direction is approved, and the full guidelines can follow while the pages get designed. A developer needs the type and the colors long before slide 40 of the brand book.
Planning a new brand and website together? DM me what you're building.
A cybersecurity company brought me in to lead its full rebrand: logo, website, brochures, presentations and messaging, in two months.
The line I'd underline from their review: "he meticulously researched our company, industry, and customers, and translated that insight into a cohesive new brand".
Research before the logo is how the website, the deck and the brochures end up describing the same company.
3 Acres is a 629-unit luxury rental community in Jersey City, where one signed lease can be worth six figures over its lifetime. Its website was an off-the-shelf template that didn't look like the building.
When we rebuilt the site, we wrote it for AI search first. The bet is that renters ask ChatGPT where to live, and a chatbot can only recommend what it can read.
For a Lovable and Contra partnership, I designed 20 templates for one problem: new users would open Lovable, see infinite freedom and freeze.
Each template had to be a showcase and a starting point at once. Portfolios, project pages, service pages and studio intros, ready to duplicate, change and publish.
A product that opens on an empty screen should show people what finished looks like first.
Renee Mizrahi, in her August review: "I have no technical background, but I had a vision. Articulating that was hard, like I had been dropped in a remote country not speaking the language, and had to talk through a translator. Daniel 'spoke' that language."
A lot of this job is translation.
