Aside from the ridiculous flailing that is Elon's takeover, here's where I'm at and rarely here:
@Twitter served a vital role in my rapid development as a startup founder and I'm incredibly grateful for the crazy growth, dope connections, and stunning learnings over past 2+ yrs.

Replying to @DanRShafer
I do. I think social media and talk radio does not help. And to look in the mirror, we don't do enough positive stories about the city.
How not to run a loyalty program @OpenTable
👍🏽Award points for use
👎🏽Add 3-year expiration date for points after 2018
👎🏽Bury the exp rules in T&Cs, don't include in FAQs

Why does it cost more to process a credit card transaction than to send a physical check via USPS mail?

Little secret venture capitalists don't want you to know:
Capital is abundant. Even now.
Founders trying to build something great. Incredibly rare.
If you're a founder building something great and you've proof points that it's working - YOU HAVE ALL THE POWER.
The result I think I'm aiming for is to do more with less.
That by turning slightly inward and away from the maximalist world now readily available to billions of people, I can actually discover more.

Scumbag, cheater laundromat owners in New Jersey are getting a wake up call!
The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) is out there auditing laundromat owners' employment practices. And, it’s not going so hot for these laundromat owners…
Out of 20 laundromats visited by the LWD, 19 had basic employment violations. Damn near every one. Shoutout to that one compliant guy, though!
Damages on these 19 non-compliant stores show at least $56,000 in back wages owed to employees due to:
- Paying employees cash off the books
- Not declaring employees - preventing employees from making unemployment, workers’ compensation claims, etc.
- Paying below minimum wage
- Not paying overtime
- Not providing paid sick and family leave time
On top of the back wages, these laundromat owners were hit with $143,000 in penalties and fees.
There’s probably some small sample size bias here. But, it doesn’t take a Department of Labor study to tell me who’s cheating and who’s playing fair. If your soap boxes and lint trays aren’t clean, I bet your books aren’t either.
Theoretically, noncompliance with basic labor laws creates a disadvantage for laundromat owners playing by the rules. In reality, these cheaters need a lot more of a head start than that to keep up with us.
Have your head on a swivel, New Jersey. It sounds like the DOL is coming…
And pay your employees, you banana heads!
