I’m fully aware conditions been difficult over the past few days I see lots of examples of farming not being so great for the environment Can we see images of farming that is capable of coping with extreme weather conditions rather than soil washing down the roads

The Environmental Watchdog is clear. So am I. We were promised no regression in standards by this Gvt and the Lords needs to stand up against this betrayal
Proposed changes to the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill will reduce the level of environmental protection provided for in law and amount to a regression, the OEP is warning. Find out more: bit.ly/45ABnj1

A powerful intervention from the Government's own nature watchdog - #NutrientNeutrality plans would be a "regression" in environmental protection. We hope Parliamentarians from all parties will join us in asking @RishiSunak to abandon these damaging plans.

What kind of hocus pocus drafting is this: “the relevant authority must assume…” pollution won’t get worse. Imagine this in a health context = the relevant doctor must assume you’re not going to get more sick. Where on earth is science/evidence in this sorry state of affairs?
The #NutrientNeutrality amendment has been published. With these harmless-looking words, Government wants to disapply the #HabitatsRegulations to allow pollution without mitigation in England's most sensitive nature sites. Parliamentarians concerned about rivers, plz vote "no".

Mark is right - @floodre continuing beyond 2039 would be a sign of failure. And yes we need much more investment and adaptation. But remember Flood Re's purpose is to buy time for householders and houseprices to adjust to risk-reflective premiums by 2039. consult.defra.gov.uk/floodin…
Delighted to launch @floodre transition plan today. As I say in @ft interview, it would be a sign of failure on behalf of the entire system if Flood Re had to exist beyond 2039. We do have time to get this right but it does require everyone to put their shoulder to the wheel.
