that should have been approached with tact and empathy is genuinely so awful.. I really hope people feel ashamed and can see that the damage is already done when people grieving can't even turn to their community for solace and understanding. That's the last I'll say.

The thing that's most disheartening is when it is confirmed this individual was genuinely experiencing a mental health crisis, the people who were joking so openly about it went dead silent. I've unfollowed every single one I saw atp. This community has a group think problem

Crazy that I've still not seen one reliable resource that a person has faked their death and the way so many people run with the hearsay like SHEEP without doing any fact checking so they're not handling the subject of someone unaliving themselves like buffoons is mind boggling.

even if the guy didn't pass in actuality, is there evidence to show that an attempt wasn't made and failed? I guess mental healthmatters very little when the masses have decided you're the butt of a joke. This communities issue with performative morality is just really bad.

Even if the guy is crappy or you have your reasonings for not extending sympathy, I'm sure there's other ppl in ur life that have considered or actively struggle with ideation that are now watching you handle this subject with zero compassion and grace. Awesome.
