Be part of the Bradford 2025 Opening Event! Join us on stage for RISE ✨
We’re calling on young people (aged 12-18) and the inspiring adults who’ve supported them, to take the stage at RISE - the spectacular opening event of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. Details below👇
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a huge open-air production, created by award-winning director Kirsty Housley and Bradford’s own Steven Frayne (aka Dynamo!).
Whether you're a teacher, youth worker, guardian or grandparent, we’re celebrating the relationships that uplift and nurture Bradford’s youth. As a pair, take centre stage and participate in a one-of-a-kind performance!
No experience needed - just enthusiasm and a love for Bradford. This is your chance to shine together 🌟
Ready to be part of RISE? Apply by midnight on Sunday, 13th October.

We're deeply saddened to hear of the death of our former Chief Executive, Grahame Morris.
At the helm of our theatres from 1997 – 2004, Grahame was a fantastic leader and oversaw productions such as Edward II and Don Juan.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones.

So sad to wake up to this news today. Lord Bob was a true inspiration to everyone that he met. A great chair, amazing mentor to me and will truly miss him. Only last week we were texting and him sharing his knowledge. My love to Anne today and his amazing family. – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
We are deeply saddened by the death of our Chair, Lord Bob Kerslake, and send our love and condolences to his family.
A true advocate for the arts and Sheffield, and a long-standing supporter, Lord Bob Kerslake became Chair of Sheffield Theatres’ Board in November 2015.
