As I said in an earlier post, it makes zero difference if he’s reaching for an empty holster or a gun.
He thought there was a gun in there, and he reached for it. The other officers probably had no idea he was disarmed a half second before. They saw a man reaching for his side and followed their training.
This guy would still be alive if he just laid on the ground and put his hands behind his back when things escalated.
