A plane carrying a mother, father, and their two teenage daughters crashed into a tree in a Florida neighborhood and caught fire. As smoke poured from the wreckage, four neighbors rushed toward the burning aircraft armed with an axe, a hammer, and a fire extinguisher. But to save the family inside, they would have to fight their way into a burning aircraft before the flames spread.
It happened in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The family was approaching a nearby airport when their plane crashed into a tree outside someone’s home.
Hearing the impact, four neighbors rushed outside to find smoke rising from the wreckage and the family trapped inside.
Without hesitation, they grabbed tools and began smashing through the damaged cockpit, managing to pull the father and his two teenage daughters to safety, but the mother was still trapped inside.
With flames spreading quickly, some fought the fire using a garden hose and extinguisher while the others desperately worked to break through the twisted metal and reach her.
Finally, they pulled her free, saving all four family members.
Without these neighbors risking their own lives, this could have ended in tragedy. Instead, an entire family is alive because four ordinary people refused to stand by.
Let’s give these everyday heroes the recognition they deserve.

HERE IT IS. The Next Generation Roadster developed by SpaceX and Tesla!
There is a fan-suction system at the bottom of the car that can pull up to 2 gs allowing it to stick upside down.
It just flipped UPSIDE DOWN with cold gas thrusters and landed. HOLY SHIT.
Happy 251st birthday to the United States Navy!
Since 1775, generations of sailors have served at sea and around the world, defending America.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who have worn the uniform and those who continue to stand the watch.

At 11:18am on October 12, 2000, a small boat pulled alongside the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Cole in Aden Harbor, Yemen. After waving to the sailors on deck, the crew of the smaller boat detonated an explosive shaped charge estimated at 200-300 kg, killing themselves and seventeen U.S. sailors onboard the USS Cole.
Costing close to two-billion dollars and designed in the 1980s to counter the Soviet threat, this symbol of U.S. military power and technological superiority was nearly sunk by a non-state actor for a relatively small investment of resources. The attack on the USS Cole was a victory for bin Laden and al-Qaeda, attracting funds and recruits to the cause. As with previous attacks on U.S. military assets and civilians abroad, the U.S. did not respond. Bin Laden had issued “fatwās” declaring war on America in 1996 and 1998 and had attacked the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. The United States failed to realize it was already at war. That realization would come on a sunny Tuesday morning less than a year later on September 11, 2001.

Today, we pause to remember the 17 Sailors who were killed and the 37 who were injured during the terrorist attack on USS Cole (DDG 67) on Oct. 12, 2000.
We will never forget their sacrifice and the crew’s bravery as they conducted more than 96 hours of sustained damage control to save their ship.

Video of the explosion, sent by a listener, Tuesday morning on Monroe. Camera is aimed south, the Old Capitol is to the right. My son's truck is in the glare waiting to turn left at Apalachee Parkway. I am so grateful. He is just a few yards from farthest explosion and had just driven over the first seconds before.

1. How long has she been in the U.S.?
We just arrested a Chinese foreign agent at LAX attempting to depart for China.
Wanying Zhang, aka “Heather,” 34, of Irvine, was arrested today by @FBILosAngeles on a federal complaint charging her with acting as an unregistered agent of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the affidavit, Zhang traveled to Seattle in 2025 and, at the direction of PRC officials, surveilled a close relative of a Taiwanese government official, sending photos, videos, and license plate information to those officials.
She coordinated the trip with an associate and used tradecraft to avoid detection. She never notified the Attorney General she was acting for a foreign government, a federal offense.
She will appear in federal court in Los Angeles tomorrow for her initial appearance. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
